More Fun At The Ballpark

Our life is at it's craziest in the spring and fall of each year. We wouldn't have it any other way. Here are some more pics of our home away from home these days...

Easter Egg Fun

The weekend before Easter, Zachary went over to his best bud's house to color Easter Eggs. No one was allowed in the room except him and Crappy. They spent an hour or so making sure they had the exact eggs they had envisioned in their minds. The two of them had a blast. Zachary was very disappointed when we had to explain to him that we weren't going to eat the eggs on Easter. Not after they had been out of the fridge for a day or so.
In case you've never heard the story, Crappy gets her name from ol' Zachary himself. When he was much younger and learning to talk, he could never pronounce her name, Cathy. All he could say was "Cappy." Well, several folks with quite the sense of humor took that ball and ran with it. Since then, Crappy was born. The name has stuck. There are folks from Buckhead to West Virginia calling her Crappy all thanks to Zachary. What a hoot!
Over the years the two of them have become inseperable. Tonight, when Zachary got home from school, he didn't run over to give me a big hug and kiss. Instead, he asked if Crappy was coming over for dinner. When I told him not tonight, a tantrum quickly followed. It took me telling him that we could call her later to calm him down. She is a great friend to all three of us. We love ol' Crappy.

**As an aside, Blogspot's editing stuff isn't working - AGAIN. In my preview, there are three distinct paragraphs, not one big blob of writing. Sorry you can't read it more clearly.**

Day at the Park

On Saturday, we went to Little Mulberry Park for a few hours to play in the sun. Zachary and Marty hit the trails testing Marty's new bike. He scored his bike at a yard sale for $5. A Deal!! Zachary is loving having a bike partner now. He has said that this is his "favorite place on earth." After their bike ride, Zachary settled down for a few pictures with Mom.

NEW CAMERA!!!

For months, we have been hunting for a new camera. Finally, after lots of price shopping and deal hunting, we found the one we've been waiting for. Here's a few pictures of Zachary trying out the new lenses...

Fun Time

After all of the rain we've had the last couple weeks, Marty and Zachary went out in the back yard to assess the damages. We are planning on getting some sod this spring in what has turned into a mudhole. While they were out checking out the yard, they also decided to ham it up a little for the camera.

Love Notes

Two weeks ago, Zachary had his spring choir performance at church. This year's theme was Love Notes. It was all about God's love notes to us and our love notes back to Him. Zachary is learning so much about praising God this year. He even sang some of his favorite songs. He is really easy to find in this picture. He is the blonde with the red shirt and blue jeans. Haha! Actually he is on the middle row below the far right balloons.
We weren't able to get a very good picture. This is the best our camera was able to get.
Maybe next time...

It's That Time Of Year Again...

Baseball season is in full swing at our house these days. Zachary is on the Boston Red Sox this season. This is his third season with about seven of the same teammates. He has made some really great friendships in these boys. It will be very exciting this fall when they are all in school together. Zachary has managed to hit off the pitch every game so far this season. He has come so far since last season. The rules of baseball are starting to sink in, so he is enjoying this season so much more than the two previous seasons.
Last week, he got the game ball! He hit off the pitch twice during that game and got a double both times. He has slept with the ball every night since. We are looking forward to a great rest of the season!
